Auxiliary verb pattern indicating completion of an action or expressing regret/accidental outcome. Often implies that something was done completely, inadvertently, or with a sense of finality. In casual speech, contracted to 〜ちゃう (for てしまう) or 〜じゃう (for でしまう).

In a sentence

大事な書類をうっかり捨ててしまって、大後悔している。

daiji na shorui o ukkari sutete shimatte, daikoukai shite iru.

I accidentally threw away important documents and I deeply regret it.
