A highly colloquial passive voice marker used extensively in spoken Thai. It almost exclusively introduces an adverse, unpleasant, or punitive action experienced by the subject.

In a sentence

เมื่อเช้าฉันขับรถลุยน้ำขังไปทำงาน ดันโดนคันข้างๆ ขับซิ่งแซงจนน้ำสาดกระจายเต็มกระจกหน้าเลย

This morning I drove through flash floods to work, and I ended up getting hit by a splashing wave because the car next to me sped past.
